Just for Today

It has been snowing in the south of Sweden and we are simply mesmerized by the beauty, brightness and stillness that cannot be explained to those who have not experienced snow.

My first thought was yipee we are going to have a snow man! throw snow balls and how nice not getting muddy and all. That thought sailed off pretty fast! how the hmmmmm.... will i get the car off the car port hahahaa the door handle was frozen, clearly it wasn't made for this weather. Ok what now? we had to go fulfill our purposes in life and the carport door would't budge.

Some of the tools I thought useful at that time included: hammer, lighter, my foot ouch....and a pen knife. What a perfect excuse not to show.... hmmm i was stuck in my home, not convincing!
But had you been present, you would have caught an appaling sight of a sweaty woman working a jammed door in the minus degree. It wasn't funny at the time, but just for today.....I can laugh

Cheers y'aall

wordless wednesday

It is that time of the year again...... autumn has come and vanished leaving behind a trail of crispy chill that pierces right to the bone nevertheless, do not despair.....for the Holiday season has befallen us.
It is time to reveal your passion and unleash the creative imp within you, theres loads of decorating to do, wrapping dodgy bundles and baking ginger bread cookies not to mention juggling between last minute bargains and hideous homemade cards. Where is the christmas spirit? give the little ones a chance to put their wits to work, it really isn't that bad.....i tried it and the results were priceless.

I would like to wish you all Happy Holidays! and a very prosperous new year.

Carmen at Malmo Intiman Theater

First of all I never had the pleasure of watching Carmen before and secondly I haven't had an opera experience in such a tiny tightly fitted sitting, thus the name Intiman, the place is a little too intimate for comfort sulk.....sulk..

In a simple black stage, with fantasic lighting and surround and a team of phenominal actors Carmen was reborn and slain.
Carmen the worlds most popular opera of all times and a skandalous one for that was remade in Malmö Intima.

Red, Black & white, passion death and innocence.

Kajsa Giertz the director and choreographer,Sven Dahlberg, Anders Ortman, Marina Steinmo and the rest of the team did a fantastic job travelling back in time(1875) and bringing on to stage a modern sexy Carmen and Don Jose' of our time.
Special thanks to the very talented actors, your passion and skill elevated my first Carmen experience.
