Where was I for the last couple of days? I was in Göteborg, a very picturesque Town.

I regret not having time to explore this Magnificent place but I found a very powerful video of Göteborgians spreading warmth and love through unconditional love hugs... for free!

I was so touched by the simple gesture, and that is why I want to remind you that you have a choice to be happy or not! So always choose happiness with all its ambiguities and complexities. Receive the love that is directed your way, open your arms to all the good that is awaiting your embrace. Love you! Love life.

I wonder what was going through the minds of those many many people who rejected free hugs, I wonder how the ones who accepted the hugs felt for all the days that followed. I bet the ones who received free hugs from the wonderful strangers walked away with diamonds in their hearts.

Do us all a favour carry this forward, spread some love into the world.

Bokmässan continues

Today I feel totally run down after standing still with a permanent smile from 8:30am - 18:00

Because it is Saturday, the fair is packed like never before.
I feel so small in this huge place, like a little child attending a new school in a new country where I dont speak the language.
The atmosphere can at times be overwhelming and extremely humbling.
So I get thinking...Here I am amidst giants marketing myself I am not even sure of my own identity, and a product completely unknown to the majority.

I am here to break walls and barriers, to do what I do best.  I am here  and I dare say that I am surviving it all.
Thank you all for your warm regards and for wishing me luck.  Someone up there heard you, so thanks.

Gothenburg book fair/ Svenska bökmässan

We are here, at the huge, huge, huge Swedish Book Fair (Svenska Bökmässan).
I am stressing the word HUGE coz really that's what it is. And everyone who is anyone from all around the globe is here (including moi)
"Splash splash and the Hippos' Dance" is in position making his Swedish Debut or so, I'd like to think, the wannabe that I am.
So the whole fair is intense and the main focus this year is Africa, therefore lots of wonderful African writers are in position.
All day everyday, since yesterday, I havn't known where to look or where not to.  Who to look at and who not to, they are everywhere and are all equally amazing:  The books, the authors, the speakers, the audience, it is happening, the place is uproar.
The scene is Fantastic. It is upbeat, and It is fabulous!
I feel very fortunate for having had the opportunity to mingle, rub shoulders and chat with the masters of the literary world, and the rest of the daring wannabes like myself.
