It doesn't take any effort for a child to smile, laugh, giggle even.
Is that because they see things in perfect clarity? have we lost the power to capture those moments?
Do children notice all the amusing things, the moments that pass us by? ( Are children having all the fun?)
Do we experince those moments in total oblivion? are we walking through life in absence?
When do we lose the ability to laugh without a care in the world, why do we stop being? why can't we capture and cherish those moments freely?

Bikram Yoga City Hall Singapore
It has been nearly three weeks since I last practiced Yoga.
I have been sidetracked by one thing or the other, and a whole bunch of unoriginal excuses.
Every single cell within me is screaming for Yoga but I just can't seem to make the time.
How do I get back on the Yoga bandwagon without guilty conscious?

FREE HUGS Gothenburg (Göteborg) SWEDEN
Where was I for the last couple of days? I was in Göteborg, a very picturesque Town.
I regret not having time to explore this Magnificent place but I found a very powerful video of Göteborgians spreading warmth and love through unconditional love hugs... for free!
I was so touched by the simple gesture, and that is why I want to remind you that you have a choice to be happy or not! So always choose happiness with all its ambiguities and complexities. Receive the love that is directed your way, open your arms to all the good that is awaiting your embrace. Love you! Love life.
I wonder what was going through the minds of those many many people who rejected free hugs, I wonder how the ones who accepted the hugs felt for all the days that followed. I bet the ones who received free hugs from the wonderful strangers walked away with diamonds in their hearts.

Bokmässan continues
Today I feel totally run down after standing still with a permanent smile from 8:30am - 18:00
Because it is Saturday, the fair is packed like never before.
I feel so small in this huge place, like a little child attending a new school in a new country where I dont speak the language.
The atmosphere can at times be overwhelming and extremely humbling.
So I get thinking...Here I am amidst giants marketing myself I am not even sure of my own identity, and a product completely unknown to the majority.
I am here to break walls and barriers, to do what I do best. I am here and I dare say that I am surviving it all.
Thank you all for your warm regards and for wishing me luck. Someone up there heard you, so thanks.

Gothenburg book fair/ Svenska bökmässan
We are here, at the huge, huge, huge Swedish Book Fair (Svenska Bökmässan).
I am stressing the word HUGE coz really that's what it is. And everyone who is anyone from all around the globe is here (including moi)
"Splash splash and the Hippos' Dance" is in position making his Swedish Debut or so, I'd like to think, the wannabe that I am.
So the whole fair is intense and the main focus this year is Africa, therefore lots of wonderful African writers are in position.
All day everyday, since yesterday, I havn't known where to look or where not to. Who to look at and who not to, they are everywhere and are all equally amazing: The books, the authors, the speakers, the audience, it is happening, the place is uproar.
The scene is Fantastic. It is upbeat, and It is fabulous!
I feel very fortunate for having had the opportunity to mingle, rub shoulders and chat with the masters of the literary world, and the rest of the daring wannabes like myself.

Back to Reality
Summer is gone, and boy what a fine summer it was!
In Sweden we never really keep our fingers crossed for the summer, infact more and more people have resorted to vaccationing away. It is always good having ones options open and weighing them out keenly.
As for me summer was total bliss, I age a little bit every summer (suck..suck) but so does husband thus diverting some of the attention from moi! The aging process was easier this year, felt like... nothing, like I didn't get a year older. But again maybe I'm getting immune and shedding off some of the vanity that causes one to cling on to the past and to youth that no longer exists. I'm I getting too comfortable with my age-ing? I hope so.
So! as I was saying Summer was fantastic, it was. However, the intesity of it was massive and I am still catching my breath from all the travels and short courses, gardening and construction noises hmmm... Autumn is here though and boy does she have issues.
Gone are the days when I could snooze till nine, drag myself out of bed at 10 and sip coffee till one, in my scooby-doo pyjamas. Autumn is here.............
She is snapping my head back to reality, back to speed, work, school, traffic. The rush! but wonderful summer memories urges me on.
What is life, without dreams or memories?

Midsummer Dreams
Kids will be off school and adults will be off duty.
Strong men will be at work, colourful dressess will emerge.Silly songs will be sung,
Garlands will be woven.
heads will be adorned, poles will be dressed with sweet fragranced flowers.
Friends will be there, clothes will be traditional and full of flare.
Families will grill, drink and even dance.
No anger in the air.
glasses will klink and skål.
Love will be in the air and grins from ear to ear.
Memories of the past will rush back into present.
The adults and the young will sing in a voice as one

Girls will pick and hide flowers under their pillows,
hoping to catch glimpses of their future prince charming.
Believe it or not .
it is on this very night that the pretty lasses futures unveil mysteriously.
As for me there's one song very close to my heart: Små grodar....U wakakaka
I will be learning new songs hopfully this year will lock them in memory for use in years to come.
Take it easy though: The roads will be full of cops.
